Visiting Firemen in the heat of the Gulf

Team Gulf have been on pins – actually secretly enjoying – a trio of visiting Firemen over the last three weeks.

First of all, Financial Director Tanya was out, supporting Teresa and the local team in closing out last year and making sure all are starting the year with clean books – whilst picking up first hand on what we do and who we do it for – including a meeting with the legendary Willie & Craig. Came home really impressed – thankyou Teresa – well done. Regularly weekly Skypes – no excuse for not keeping in touch!

Then Colin was over, supervising the rollout of phone software – job sheets recorded in real time, forwarded to customers in the moment, visible on our Customer Portal – goodbye to paper!

And finally Paul – auditing and temperature monitoring – no, not on cold-rooms, on our Investment in People. We’d tried through the local UAE branch – but suspect they’ve built their website and gone home tired – no different from the international team in the UK, based in Newcastle – not great responders. So carrying out reviews with 85% of the team over 4 days, measuring against the new v6 standard. Great to carry the same standards throughout our operations. Now if the folk at IiP could get interested – and come back with sensible pricing – wouldn’t it be great to develop such a great brand in such an awesome and worthy environment. Horses to water…

And whilst the firemen are visiting, the team is building – welcome onboard to Mohammed – developing our Laundry Service and Parts Sales – and Erla, charged with bringing organisation and structure to our growing HR and Training/Development needs.
