Double dose of CPD for young managers : first to Building Sustainable Competitive Advantage evening session for the Entrepeneur’s Group at Henley Business School. Jurek, Exec Director of the Henley Centre gathers in local success stories to share their secrets. Guess what, no matter how hi-tech the business, all said that People were the main answer to sustained advantage.

And the following morning, the privilege of an introduction and masterclass in EFQM from the legendary Dave Richards – missing his Siamese (Simian?) twin Derek, now out to pasture…

And while the model is complex (that’s the joy of it – its holistic), guess what, it’s clearly founded on People practices – and team delivery. (and bow ties and booze, Dave?)

Not covered on this occasion but equally interesting that the US Baldridge Award has a major element around workforce engagement – not the sort of thing you associate with US employment practices – and more evidence for Investing in People around the Globe!
