Salters Hallnot at all how you imagine a Livery Company established in 1454. All thanks to the Luftwaffe.

To Salters Hall for BIFM Catering & Hospitality SIG with young team members DJ and Roos : fab venue – three interesting speakers on Digital Technology in Catering – spurring thoughts of our own communications – external and internal. So here goes… Salters Hall – not at all how you imagine a Livery Company established in 1454. All thanks to the Luftwaffe.

Earlier in the day, visit to very, very smart hotel – hotels not our standard customers because of difficulty of access – our people not keen on fighting it out with the cleaners at 2am, with no access to support. If we can have grown-up conversations about working space, we’d love to come in and do a good job. Also a reminder that where we have a regular weekly attendance agreement – eg every Friday morning – other call-outs simply become unnecessary (well, almost). When a kitchen team has confidence in their regular technician, all the pressure disappears – and so do the costs…

Random call from someone in California asking if we would service sites along the South Coast – answer: Yes. Esprit d’Escalier – how about we survey at your place in Ca next month when Dan, Mark and I are over for IFMA World Work Place. Not sure we can service but would love to get into the California vibe.

And closed the warm evening with a rapid pizza at Francesco’s – where the informed and well-travelled declared that the best pizzas are made in Croatia. May also need a survey….
